What is mindfulness?
Mindfulness involves giving your whole attention to something. It means slowing down in order to fully appreciate what you're doing. Rushing or multitasking are the polar opposites of being mindful. You take your time when you're mindful. You're concentrating in a comfortable, effortless manner.
What is the significance of mindfulness?
Being mindful allows you to:
• Pay attention better
• Be less distracted
• Learn more
• Keep calm under stress
• Avoid getting too upset about things
• Slow down instead of rushing
• Listen better to others
• Be more patient
• Get along better
The more you practise, the better you become!
