International Book Giving Day is celebrated annually on February 14th, coinciding with Valentine's Day. This global

initiative encourages individuals, organisations, and communities to share the love of reading by giving books to others. It promotes literacy and the joy of reading, especially for those who may have limited access to books. The day is a

reminder of the power of books to educate, entertain, and inspire. 

At Field House we hold a 'Book Swap Shop' on this day where the children and adults bring their unwanted books/ literature to school and swap them with literature given by others.
