In the run up to Remembrance Day each year, the children are reminded about why we wear poppies and key events of the major World Wars.  They share stories about their family members who were/ are in the armed forces and daily assemblies focused on this special time of the year.

We sell poppies and other British Legion merchandise at the school gates during the week and money raised is forwarded to continue the great work of this charity.

At 11 O'clock on 11 November, we all stand silent in the playground and hear a poppy related poem, joining in with remembrance time across the nations.
